She never stopped dreaming or creating.. Her lessons have added to the joys in my life. Over the years I watched many episodes of Sewing with Nancy and enjoyed every one of them. Zieman had She was such an inspiration and help as I sewed for my family. Im not much of a good sewer, but have learned so much from her, on basic sewing to creative sewing. I have watched Sewing with Nancy for years and learned so much from this wonderful lady. My love to the family! Although I knew how to sew before I began watching her show, she refined my skills and helped me through the things that I always avoided sewing. Being from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we took a family Always loved taking her class at her Sewing Weekend in Beaver Dam. I had done hand sewing in the past but not machine sewing. Nancy was a great inspiration to me and a wonderful teacher. Nancy Zieman, who with her husband founded Nancys Notions in Beaver Dam, has died from cancer. I was fortunate to meet her twice, and though we didnt really know each other, I still miss her. She made all of us feel so welcome. Thank you for doing this giveaway. She influenced me to purchase a Pfaff 7570 embroidery machine, that was the machine she had on her show. I did not have the opportunity to read her first book, but I have been inspired by her work, her sewing and embroidery, and her perseverance through the years. I always looked forward to watching Sewing with Nancy as I learned so much from her. I have followed her shows for years. Nancy Zieman, longtime host of Wisconsin Public Television's "Sewing With Nancy," died Tuesday at her home in Beaver Dam after a long battle with cancer. I learned so much from her! I miss her, but still watch her videos on PBS. I look forward to reading this new book. I worked at a department store in Virginia, MN and was the fabric department manager. Nancy came to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for sewing and pattern alterations. She was that kind of lady. What can possibly be said, I miss her very much. This is the first Ive heard of it. I have reread her book, Seams Unlikely. I dont believe in coincidences. Nancys story made me feel that if she could cope with her health problems, I could certainly learn to cope and get along with my vision loss. Would love to read her book and learn more about her story! I always told people that Nancy was my virtual best friend. I always liked sewing with nancy. She is dearly missed. She started her early years selling and teaching in an area where I grew up, so I felt a bit of kinship to her early days.
