Beyond pandemic-related challenges, 4J continues to struggle with issues that perpetuate inequities, such as overcrowded classrooms;constraints to retaining valuable staff;and the discrepancy in graduation rates for students of different backgrounds. Her two children and two stepchildren allhad their K-12 education in 4J schools and her three grandchildren currently attend elementary and middle school in the district.
